World Series Highlights

The World Series is one of the most intense sporting events on the planet, and it’s been best-of-seven since 1905. The MLB postseason has also featured some incredibly crazy, historic and memorable moments over the years. From a Yankees-Dodgers classic stolen base that fueled a long-running feud between Yogi Berra and manager Billy Martin to Reggie Jackson earning himself the nickname “Mr. October,” here are some of the best World Series highlights ever.

BUZZER STRIKES OUT BRYCE HARPER FOR END OF GAME

Blake Treinen had an outstanding night in Game 4 for the Red Sox, and one of the more impressive parts of his outing came when he struck out Bryce Harper on his 42nd pitch. The left-hander threw 13 pitches to the batter, including four curveballs and two changeups. The NL MVP had a look on his face like he knew it was over when the count reached five strikes. Then he grounded into a double play to end the inning. This was the highlight of a game that saw the Dodgers erase a five-run deficit with a startling fifth-inning rally. The Yankees responded with a Giancarlo Stanton sacrifice fly, but it was more a case of “wait ’til next year” than “all over again.”
