The Masters Leaderboard

The Masters is one of the four major championships of professional golf and a major sporting event in the United States. It is played each year at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, and is regarded as the most prestigious tournament in golf. The Masters is a limited-field event, and each year the field features only the leading players from around the world. Since its inception, The Masters has maintained a number of traditions. For example, winners of the event receive a green jacket, which they must wear in all four rounds of the tournament and keep in their possession for a full year after winning. The Masters has also maintained a tradition of honoring amateur golf by inviting winners of the most prestigious amateur tournaments in the country to participate, and by playing the current U.S. Amateur champion in the same group as the defending champion for the first two days of play.

Rory McIlroy is on top in a sudden-death playoff with Justin Rose at The Masters, with the Green Jacket on the line. It was an extraordinary finish at golf’s grandest theater that will live long in the memory.

McIlroy bombs a drive over the corner of the par-four 9th, plays a delightful wedge from 87 yards which spins off the back bank down towards the cup and holes the putt for birdie to move to 13 under and lead by four.

Bryson DeChambeau continues to occupy second place on 12 under, but a host of former champions and bright young players — including Corey Conners, Patrick Reed, Scottie Scheffler, Shane Lowry and Ludvig Aberg — are just two shots behind the leader at this point.
